Dr. Tim O'Shannassy is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Management at RMIT University, with a 26-year tenure. He holds roles such as MBA Director, RMIT Ford Motor Company Program Manager, and Academic Board member. His teaching focuses on strategic management, entrepreneurship, and operations in Executive MBA programs across Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Macau. Tim earned his PhD in Strategic Management from Monash University (2005). He served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Management & Organization (2012–2024), receiving the 2018 Associate Editor Excellence Award. He currently serves on editorial boards of top journals like Journal of Strategy and Management and Australian Journal of Management . His research interests span strategic management, corporate governance, and qualitative/quantitative methods. He has authored 23 journal articles, 18 conference papers, and five book chapters. Notable contributions include case studies on ANZ Banking Group, Cochlear Limited, and Ryanair, as well as co-authoring Strategic Management: The Challenge of Creating Value . Tim has received awards such as the RMIT 25 Years Service Award (2024), the RMIT College of Business and Law 'Enabling' Award (2023), and multiple Outstanding Reviewer Awards. He also volunteers as President of Dendy Park Tennis Club, leading a $6.5M venue rebuild project with Tennis Australia. Industry experience includes roles at ANZ Banking Group and Westpac, while community service includes leadership roles in Dendy Park Tennis Club.
