Giorgis Petridis is an Associate Professor at the University of Georgia, specializing in arithmetic combinatorics, a field rooted in combinatorial number theory with modern extensions into discrete analysis and finite field geometry. Born in Athens, Greece, he earned his PhD from the University of Cambridge under Tim Gowers and held a Visiting Assistant Professor position at the University of Rochester. He serves as an editor for Combinatorial Theory and is affiliated with the Number Theory and Arithmetic Geometry group, particularly its additive combinatorics and discrete analysis subgroup.
