Antonios E. Tsagkarakis is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Productive Entomology at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), affiliated with the Faculty of Crop Science. He serves on the Board of Directors of the International Bee Research Association (IBRA), as Secretary General of the Hellenic Society of Phytiatry, and as a Board Member of the Hellenic Entomological Society. Research Focus: Ecology and management of insects, apiculture, sericulture, insect biomass production for feed, organic matter decomposition, and medical applications of insects. Courses Taught: Pests of Arable and Greenhouse Crops, Pathology of Productive Insects, Apiculture - Sericulture (each with 5 weekly hours and 5 credits). His research includes projects such as precision crop protection for locusts, honey quality improvement in the Cyclades, climate-resilient tobacco cultivation, and the Horizon Europe-funded 'Beeguards' and 'ETAIN' initiatives addressing beekeeping resilience and electromagnetic field effects.
