Professor Sarah Gibson is a Director of the School of Communication at Lipscomb University and holds a Professor rank. She earned a B.S. in Electronic Media from Abilene Christian University and an MFA in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of North Texas. Her expertise spans documentary filmmaking, interactive storytelling, and human-centered AI integration in education. She founded a media production company and pioneered Christian Rock radio syndication, earning the 2012 Broadcast Education Association Award for her interactive documentary Steve Taylor’s Digital Clone . Currently, she leads Lipscomb’s AI initiative and authored From Fear to Flourishing: Guiding Institutions Through AI Transformation . She hosts the podcast AI and the Kid and Mommy Needs a Moment . Research focuses on ethical AI, media ethics, and new media storytelling. She advises institutions on AI adoption through workshops, speaking engagements, and consulting. Her work bridges technology with human values, emphasizing creativity and ethical stewardship. Professional contributions include editing the Journal of Human-Centered AI and developing AI literacy courses for educators and organizations.
