Dr. Iris Seidemann is a Senior Research Fellow at the Chair of Organization Studies, Department of Social Economics, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, University of Hamburg. She joined the chair in October 2019 as a doctoral researcher and has since become a key contributor to research on organizational legitimacy, paradox theory, and grand challenges. Research Interests: Her scholarly focus lies in the critical examination of organizational tensions and paradoxes, particularly in the context of legitimacy repair and societal grand challenges such as climate-induced disasters. She investigates how workforce homogeneity in the public sector emerges and persists, using systematic literature reviews and critical theoretical analysis. Her work challenges the normative assumptions in paradox theory and advocates for more reflexive and context-sensitive approaches in organization studies.
