Eva Natividad Blanco serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Zaragoza, Spain, where she teaches Materials Engineering and Biomaterials. Concurrently, she conducts research at the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA), a joint center of CSIC and the University of Zaragoza, operating within the HYMAT-PLATON research group at the Department of Materials and Fluids Science and Technology. Her research program focuses on cutting-edge magnetic nanomaterials development, with primary emphasis on magnetic hyperthermia for biomedical applications. She pioneers advanced instrumentation for characterizing nanoscale thermal properties and investigates diverse functional materials including spin-crossover compounds , low-temperature magnetocalorics , and molecular qubits for quantum technologies. Technical expertise spans electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, thermal conductivity measurements, and magnetic characterization techniques. Analysis of her 15 most recent publications (2017-2024) reveals three dominant research trajectories: (1) instrumentation development for precise hyperthermia characterization, (2) quantum material engineering for spin qubit applications, and (3) multifunctional nanomaterial synthesis for medical imaging and refrigeration. Her work consistently bridges fundamental nanoscale phenomena with practical biomedical and quantum applications, demonstrating increasing sophistication in nanomaterial control and measurement precision over time. Dr. Natividad leads the HYMAT-PLATON group at INMA, which maintains specialized facilities for nanomaterial synthesis (including laser ablation systems), structural characterization (electron/atomic force microscopy), and magnetic/thermal property measurement. The group operates within the Torres Quevedo Building at the University of Zaragoza's Campus Río Ebro, with equipment specifically designed for adiabatic magnetothermal studies and quantum material characterization.
