Radhwan Alnaimi is a Lecturer in Physics Education at King’s College London’s Department of Physics, part of the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences. He holds a BSc and MSc from the University of Salford (1988) and a PhD from Imperial College London (2016). His career includes roles as Courses Coordinator at Fatima College (2016–2020), Academic Consultant at REED Education (2020–2021), Modules Leader at the University of East London (2021–2022), and Physical Sciences Lecturer at Arcadia University (2022–2023). He also served as adjunct faculty at Kaplan International College and City University London.

His research focuses on laser plasma x-ray sources, proton acceleration, hadron therapy, x-ray characterization, magnetron sputtering, and physics education. He is part of King’s Physics Education Research (PER) group and teaches foundational physics and mathematics courses like 0CCY1016 and 0CCY1015. In 2023–2024, he was named Teacher of the Year.
Recent work includes developing low-debris laser-driven x-ray sources for microchip manufacturing and optimizing multilayer mirrors for x-ray applications. His articles span plasma physics, materials science, and diagnostic instrumentation.
