Dr Zygmunt Janiec is a lecturer at the Vistula Academy of Finance and Business, specializing in international business and economics. He holds a degree in political science and management from the University of Warsaw, followed by advanced English training at the Central School of English in London. His professional career bridges academia and international business, with roles at the University of Warsaw, Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), and the Polish Institute of International Affairs. He served as President of the PLON Housing Cooperative in Warsaw (1985–1995), led Poland’s Commercial Counselor’s Office in Kuwait, and directed the Economic Section at the Consulate General in Los Angeles. He played a key role in Poland’s EU integration efforts, including participation in high-level EU parliamentary dialogues and membership in the National Council for European Integration.
His research focuses on global economic systems, European integration, international economic law, and transnational economic relations. He has lectured internationally in Slovenia, Turkey, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Notably, he received prestigious awards from SGGW and SGH for academic contributions. His career also includes leadership roles in foreign investment and national security sectors.
