Zvjezdana SANDIĆ

Zvjezdana SANDIĆ is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Inorganic Chemistry Department at the University of Banja Luka's Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. She specializes in Materials Science and environmental applications of polymer composites. Her research focuses on sorption processes for pollutant removal from aqueous solutions, with emphasis on heavy metals and textile dye remediation.

Education includes a PhD in Chemical Sciences (2016, University of Belgrade) and MSc (2007) and BSc (1998) degrees in chemistry-related fields. She has coordinated national projects, including the development of magnetic polymer/bentonite composites for environmental protection.

Her work spans interdisciplinary collaborations, with publications in journals like Applied Surface Science and Journal of Hazardous Materials. She is a member of professional associations such as the Association of Technology Engineers of Republic of Srpska and the Association of the Chemical Engineers of Serbia.
