Zuzanna Sadowa

Zuzanna Sadowa serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Interior Design, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Having graduated from this institution (1986-1992) under Professors Henryka Noskiewicz-Gałązka and Andrzej Dłużniewski, she has maintained a continuous relationship with her alma mater, teaching since at least 2012 and leading the Intermedia Studio since 2021.

Her artistic practice encompasses diverse media manifestations:

• Film set design

Sadowa's conceptual framework investigates gardens as temporal subcultures where time flows bidirectionally, creating timelessness. She connects this with digital imagery and projection to transcend physical boundaries and conventional perception. Her work intentionally blends visual richness with underlying emptiness, creating intense perceptual experiences that challenge viewers' cognitive frameworks.

In February 2024, her exhibition "Involution" was presented at Warsaw's Marszałkowska 18 Gallery, featuring film material shot at the University of Warsaw Botanical Garden. The exhibition ran February 16-18 with an opening reception on February 16 at 6:00 PM.

Her scholarly contribution includes the monograph "Her Real Estate – Landscape" (Academy of Fine Arts Publishing House, 2019), representing significant theoretical exploration in spatial representation. Sadowa continues to develop her artistic practice in Warsaw, exploring intersections between physical space, digital mediation, and human perception through both creative output and academic instruction.
