معرفی
Zsóka Zoltán is a Professor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), affiliated with the Department of Network Systems and Services within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. His roles include membership in the Doctoral School of Informatics (BME/EHBDT) and prior affiliation with the Department of Information Technology (BME/VIK HIT from 2000-2012). He holds a PhD in Information Technology from BME, awarded in 2007. His research focuses on telecommunications, computer networks, service chaining, Quality of Service (QoS), network optimization, and optical networks.
Key research interests include network slicing, traffic engineering, and dynamic service chaining in both traditional and 5G networks. His work spans theoretical modeling and practical tools like FLEXPLANET for multi-layer network design. Over 15 years, he has contributed to optimizing network performance through dynamic grooming algorithms and realistic traffic analysis using simulation frameworks like GANCLES. His publications address challenges in IP over WDM, elastic traffic management, and survivability in optical topologies.
Zsóka’s articles highlight trends in network architecture innovations, with emphasis on balancing efficiency and QoS in evolving telecommunications systems. He has advised multiple collaborative projects with industry partners and maintains an active publication record spanning conferences like INFOCOMMUNICATIONS JOURNAL, IEEE ICIN, and IEEE PIMRC. His work contributes to both academic discourse and practical network solutions.
