Zoë Dostal is the 2022–2024 Samuel H. Kress Predoctoral Fellow at The Courtauld Institute of Art and a PhD candidate in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University. She holds a BA in art history from Vassar College and an MA from The Courtauld Institute.
- Research focuses on intersections of textile labor, British art, and imperial history
- Recipient of multiple prestigious fellowships
- Curatorial internships at major institutions including The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Her research explores how textile labor in eighteenth-century British art reveals connections between manufacturing, imperialism, and visual culture. The project is supported by four major institutions and examines gender, labor, and colonial economies through the lens of art history.
