Zoë Arden is a Fellow at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), designing and delivering high-impact leadership programmes including online courses on Women Leading Change, Communicating for Influence and Impact, and High Impact Leadership. With over 3000 global business leaders trained, she focuses on building leadership capability for sustainability transformation through evidence-based frameworks.
Her research integrates leadership theory with practical sustainability challenges, emphasizing truthful storytelling for organizational resilience and stakeholder trust. She co-developed CISL's Leadership for a Sustainable Future framework (2023), addressing how leaders can drive systemic change amid climate and social crises through courage, capability, and cross-sector collaboration.
Professionally, Arden leverages 25+ years in corporate communications and sustainability roles including Director of Communications and Sustainability at BT Retail (leading 50+ teams), ERM directorships serving AstraZeneca and Barclays, and executive positions at Weber Shandwick and Apple-focused agencies. She serves on two charity boards while maintaining active community engagement through theater and River Thames swimming.
