Zoya Gridneva, PhD, is a Research Fellow at the Geddes Hartmann Human Lactation Research Group within the School of Molecular Sciences at The University of Western Australia. Her research focuses on infant nutrition, lactation biology, and the relationship between human milk components and infant health outcomes. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (2017) and a BSc in Biochemistry (1991).

- PhD: Investigation of Factors Contributing to Appetite Control and Body Composition in Fully Breastfed Term Infants (UWA, 2012–2017)
- BSc: Isolation, Purification, and Concentration of Lysozyme (Ufa, 1991)
Her research interests include maternal factors affecting breast anatomy, human milk composition, and the role of breastfeeding in infant growth and disease prevention. She has pioneered studies using bioelectrical impedance and ultrasound to assess infant body composition. Key projects include the 'Breast Milk Collection for the Largest Birth Cohort in Australia' and the NHMRC-funded BOD POD equipment grant.
