- M.S., Civil Engineering, Clemson University (2000)
- B.S., Civil Engineering, Clemson University (1995)
Research Interests: Dr. Rockow’s work centers on project and construction management, sustainability, construction safety, and building adaptability. She develops quantitative models—such as the Areal Openness Model (AOM)—to assess how floor-plan configuration affects a facility’s capacity to accommodate future changes, thereby promoting longer service life and reduced environmental impact.
Publication Themes: Across her seven peer-reviewed articles and conference presentations (2018-2021), she consistently explores metrics and methodologies that help designers and owners decide whether to adapt or demolish existing structures. Her studies integrate life-cycle thinking, economic feasibility, and physical building features to advance sustainable construction practices.
Professional Service & Advising:
- Faculty Advisor, Pickens County Habitat for Humanity Student Chapter
- Member, Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)
- Member, Project Management Institute (PMI)
Laboratory & Industry Engagement: Beyond academia, Dr. Rockow owns ZROCK, LLC (2021–present), providing consulting in project planning, safety, and construction management. Her prior roles at Davidson Brown, Inc., Maricopa County, and Jacobs complement her teaching and research with real-world perspective.
