Univ.-Prof. Dr. Zoltán Novotny-Farkas is a Professor of International Accounting at the Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics, Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna). He holds a doctorate in economics from Goethe University Frankfurt and was a visiting scholar at the Wharton School. His research focuses on economic consequences of international accounting and banking regulations, including IFRS and Basel III, with emphasis on bank investment behavior and central bank transparency.
