Zoltan Molnar is a Professor of Developmental Neuroscience at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Human Anatomy and Genetics and St John's College. He serves as an Einstein Visiting Fellow at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin (2020-2026) and is deeply involved in Neuroscience education.
- Education: MD (Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical University, Hungary), DPhil (University of Oxford)
- Research Focus: Cerebral cortical development and evolution, emphasizing thalamic input, neural cell fate, and cortical functional specialization. His work spans neural migration, vascular development, and transient cortical circuits.
Scientific Awards include the Biennial Rolleston Memorial Prize (1994-1995) and the Medical Sciences Teaching Excellence Award (2010). He has advised numerous MSc and DPhil students, including Thomas Lickiss, Noelia Martinez Molina, and Rosina Savisaar. His research funding comes from the Medical Research Council UK, Wellcome Trust, and European Molecular Biology Organisation.
