Zizhan Zheng

Dr. Zizhan Zheng is Associate Professor of Computer Science at Tulane University's School of Science and Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from Ohio State University in 2010.

Research centers on AI security and safety, particularly:

• Automated red-teaming for AI systems
• Reinforcement learning robustness
• Adversarial machine learning
• Network optimization

Current NSF CAREER Award research develops defenses for cooperative multi-agent learning systems against sophisticated attacks. Teaching includes courses on reinforcement learning, distributed systems, and computer networks.

Recent publications focus on adversarial robustness in reinforcement learning and federated learning systems. Awards include the 2022 NSF CAREER Award for research on securing multi-agent learning systems.
