Mengxin Zheng

Mengxin Zheng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida. Her research focuses on machine learning security and cybersecurity, including backdoor attacks and defenses, AI data privacy protection, and the robustness of large language models.

• Education: Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Indiana University Bloomington (2023)

She has received notable awards including the DAC Young Fellow (2023) and a Best Student Paper Award at the SPIE Photonics West Conference (2023). Her work also earned the Cheng Wu Innovation Challenge Second Prize (2019).

Dr. Zheng has served on program committees for conferences and journals in her field. Her current research explores adversarial machine learning, secure AI systems, and privacy-preserving technologies, with applications in cybersecurity and trustworthiness of AI models.
