Dr. Zilmiyah Kamble is a Senior Lecturer in Hospitality & Tourism Management at James Cook University (Singapore). She holds a PhD from Taylor’s University and has over 13 years of international teaching experience across five countries. Her roles include curriculum development leadership, Board of Studies chairmanship, and training consultation for the Seychelles Ministry of Tourism.
Education: PhD in Tourism & Hospitality (Taylor’s University), MSc in International Hospitality Management (Leeds Beckett University), and BSc in Hotel Management (Bangalore University). She also earned a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard University.
Research focuses on tourism planning, sociology of tourism, destination governance, sustainable tourism, and qualitative methodologies. Key projects include studies on religious tourism in Varanasi, post-COVID travel behavior, and regenerative tourism in cross-border regions.
