Dr. Zhu Ying is a Research Scientist at the Centre for Science of Learning in Education and Office for Research within the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore. She holds a PhD in Statistics from University College London and an MSc in Applied Statistics from the University of Oxford, with prior industry experience as a statistician and senior analyst at ACNielsen and PwC.

Research Interests: Her expertise centers on machine learning, image classification, and chemometrics for high-dimensional data analysis. She applies these methodologies to early cancer diagnosis, Chinese herbal medicine discrimination, food authentication, and statistics education. Current projects focus on interdisciplinary applications funded by NIE and MOE.
Professional Service: Dr. Zhu serves as Associate Editor in chemometrics for the Journal of Near Infrared Spectroscopy, elected member of the International Council for NIR Spectroscopy President's Advisory Committee, and Board Committee member of the Asian NIR Consortium.
