معرفی
Dr. Zhongfu Zhou is a Lecturer in Power Electronics at Swansea University, affiliated with the School of Aerospace, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department. His research focuses on power electronics converters applied to renewable energy systems, transportation, and power distribution networks. Key areas include photovoltaic inverters, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms, PV emulation systems, and semiconductor device optimization (e.g., SiC MOSFETs).
Teaching responsibilities include modules such as EG-345 Power Electronics (Year 3), EGLM02 Advanced Power Electronics and Drives (Year 4/MSc), and EGLM06 Sustainable Energy and Power Electronics Laboratory. He has supervised multiple PhD students in topics like battery energy storage systems, photovoltaic emulation, and grid integration challenges.
Research highlights include developing robust control strategies for inverters, optimizing switching performance in SiC MOSFET modules, and coordinating multi-inverter systems to mitigate voltage imbalances. His work bridges theoretical control methods with practical applications in renewable energy systems and power electronics hardware.
Dr. Zhou is a member of the UK IEC Standards Committee, contributing to international technical standards in electrical engineering. His over 60 peer-reviewed publications span journals such as IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, Energies, and Electronics, reflecting his commitment to advancing sustainable energy technologies.
