Zhiang Lin is a Professor of Organizations, Strategy, and International Management at the School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He serves as the Area Coordinator for the Organizations, Strategy and International Management (OSIM) area. His academic journey includes a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University (1994), an MPhil (1992), and a BS from East China Normal University (1986).
Professor Lin's research focuses on computational organization theory, social network analysis, international comparative studies, and strategic decision making. His work bridges theoretical models with empirical analysis, particularly in crisis response and organizational design. He has published extensively in top journals like Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, and Management Science.
Lin has received multiple accolades, including the Sumantra Ghoshal Research Award (2020) and recognition for his PhD mentoring. He serves on editorial boards of leading journals such as Computational and Mathematical Organization Theory and Organization Science. His teaching spans strategic management, organizational decision making, and social network theory at both undergraduate and doctoral levels.
