معرفی
Dr. Zhengxing Zhang is an Associate Research Scientist in the Cardiovascular Research Center at Yale University, affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine. He holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Fudan University (2010), followed by postdoctoral training at the University of British Columbia (2012) and BC Cancer (2016). His research focuses on developing radiopharmaceuticals for cardiovascular disease diagnosis, particularly through molecular imaging techniques like PET/SPECT.
Education & Training:
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Fudan University (2010)
- Postdoctoral Fellow, University of British Columbia (2012)
- Postdoctoral Fellow, BC Cancer (2016)
Research Interests:
Dr. Zhang’s work centers on designing radiolabeled compounds targeting fibroblast activation protein (FAP), gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR), and collagen turnover markers. His studies aim to enhance diagnostic accuracy for cardiovascular diseases and cancers while minimizing off-target effects. Recent efforts include optimizing radioligand stability, improving tumor-to-kidney contrast ratios, and developing novel theranostic agents.
Key Contributions:
His recent work includes:
- Development of SB03178, a FAP-targeted PET tracer
- Optimization of GRPR-targeted bombesin analogs for prostate cancer imaging
- Collagen hybridizing peptide-based radiotracers for pulmonary and myocardial fibrosis
Laboratories:
He is part of the Sadeghi Lab, collaborating on projects involving radiopharmaceutical synthesis and preclinical evaluation.
