Ze´ev Gedalof is an Associate Professor in Geography, Environment & Geomatics at the University of Guelph. His research addresses forest ecosystem dynamics, climatic variability, and natural resources management using dendrochronology.
Current projects focus on mid-latitude treeline changes in mountain environments and temperate savannahs. Gedalof has supervised numerous graduate students researching climate reconstruction, wildfire dynamics, and species sensitivity to environmental change.
Research combines tree-ring analysis with ecological modeling to understand historical patterns of stand development, disturbance, and climate impacts on forest ecosystems.
