معرفی
Dr. Ze Feng Ted Gan is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Michigan Technological University (Michigan Tech), joining in Fall 2025 after completing his PhD at The Pennsylvania State University. He holds a MS from Penn State (2021) and a BEng from Carleton University (2019). His research focuses on aeroacoustics, acoustic signal processing, and rotorcraft modeling with applications to electric aircraft noise control. He is actively recruiting graduate students to study sound perception of multirotor UAVs and eVTOL aircraft, and developing flight controller modifications to mitigate noise emissions.
Dr. Gan's expertise includes computational fluid dynamics (CFD), acoustic measurements in anechoic chambers, and flight dynamics simulation for sustainable aviation. His work bridges psychoacoustics with engineering solutions for low-noise electric aviation systems.
Recent publications emphasize time-varying noise analysis of multirotor systems, broadband noise modulation techniques, and challenges in electric aircraft noise reduction. His interdisciplinary approach integrates flight dynamics, control systems, and acoustic signal processing to advance advanced air mobility technologies.
