Zane Zheng

Professor Zane Zheng is a cognitive neuroscientist and Chair of Academic Research at Lasell University's School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences. He serves as Research Director for Psi Chi - the International Honor Society in Psychology, and has held leadership roles including Chair of the Research Ethics Committee and Faculty Leader for the Psychology Club.

• B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Wuhan University

His research examines the cognitive and neural mechanisms of speech perception and self-awareness, with specialized focus on aging and social media impacts. Methodologically combines behavioral paradigms with brain imaging techniques.

Recent publications show research progression from fundamental voice perception studies (2010-2013) to aging-related body ownership investigations (2015-2018), culminating in current work on social media's psychological effects (2022) and self-attribution illusions (2025).
