Zanda Serdane

Zanda Serdane is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism, Events, Hospitality and Marketing within the School of Business, Law and Policing at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), where she has taught since 2016. She delivers undergraduate and postgraduate modules in tourism and marketing across the UK and Latvia.

Her educational foundation includes a 2017 PhD from the University of Salford focusing on slow travel philosophy applied to destination marketing and management. This academic background directly informs her research trajectory and teaching methodology.

Her research explores slow travel principles in tourism development, destination branding strategies, experiential travel design, and policy frameworks for sustainable tourism. She investigates how philosophical concepts of 'slow' transform destination competitiveness and tourist engagement through longitudinal case studies.
