Associate Professor Zanda David is a prominent legal scholar at the Faculty of Law, University of Latvia, specializing in digital law, consumer protection, and data rights. She teaches courses including Consumer Protection Law, Document Writing and Analysis, and EU Unfair Commercial Practices Prohibition Law.
Her research focuses on digital rights (including digital services, online mediation services, and AI systems), consumer protection law, data protection law, and contract law. Professor David has extensive experience in developing and leading national and international study courses through networks like the European Judicial Training Network.
Professor David's scholarly work reveals strong trends in digital consumer protection, with increasing focus on AI regulation, digital services frameworks, and data protection in commercial contexts. Her publications span from foundational consumer protection research to cutting-edge analysis of the Digital Services Act, AI Act, and Data Act implementation.
