Dr. Zahid Hasan is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Law & Business, University of Notre Dame Australia. He holds a PhD in Energy and Financial Economics from the University of Western Sydney. His expertise spans Energy Economics, Renewable Energy, Financial Economics, and Sustainability. He teaches Econometrics, Microeconomic Theory, Corporate Finance, and International Finance.
Research focuses on energy price shocks, renewable energy markets, stock market volatility, and contagion risk. He has published in top journals like Energy Policy and Resources Policy, earning a best paper award in 2013. He supervises postgraduate students and serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Advanced Research in Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Journal of Economics and Public Finance.
