Zachary Reese is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Film and Video Arts at Lycoming College, where he teaches and mentors students in cinematic arts. He holds an M.F.A. from Temple University and a B.A. from Millersville University, grounding his interdisciplinary approach to film as a liberal arts medium.

His research and creative practice focus on the structural foundations of cinema, exploring self-reflexive forms and the evolving language of film. He integrates new media technologies such as 360° video and virtual reality into his work, pushing the boundaries of narrative and viewer immersion. His expertise spans cinematography, editing, drone videography, and essay filmmaking, reflecting a diverse and innovative artistic vision.
Zach's work has been exhibited internationally at prestigious venues including the Berlinale, True/False Film Festival, and The Museum of the Moving Image, highlighting the recognition and impact of his creative output. A licensed drone pilot and active commercial cinematographer, he bridges academic and professional filmmaking worlds.
He previously co-owned Meridian Media, a video production company, and continues to engage in industry projects. His 2022 MFA thesis film, Commuter Lines, exemplifies his interest in memory, landscape, and family lineage through an immersive VR experience using 360° video technology.
