Dr. Zachary Kagan Guthrie is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Mississippi's Department of History within the College of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on urbanization, development, and race in 1960s Mozambique, particularly through the lens of Beira's African newspaper Voz Africana. He holds a BA from Wesleyan University and a PhD from Princeton University (2014).
