ZHANG Zhen

ZHANG Zhen is an Associate Professor at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), where he has been affiliated since 2015. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Applied Mathematics from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Prior to joining SUSTech, he served as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (2013-2015) and held teaching/research positions at HKUST.

His research focuses on three interconnected domains: Numerical Partial Differential Equations, Multiscale Modeling of Moving Contact Lines in Multiphase Flow, and Sparse Representation Techniques for High-Dimensional Data. This work bridges mathematical theory with practical applications in fluid dynamics and materials science.

Publication analysis reveals a consistent focus on mathematical modeling of physical processes, particularly interfacial phenomena and material purification. His articles frequently appear in applied mathematics and computational physics journals, demonstrating strong cross-disciplinary collaboration with engineers and materials scientists.
