معرفی
ZHANG Sheng is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He holds a Ph.D. from NUS (2009) and a B.Sc. from Peking University (2003). His research focuses on developing chiral stationary phases for chiral separation, particularly using HPLC techniques. He teaches advanced courses in organic/inorganic chemistry, sustainable chemistry, and organic synthesis.
Education:
- Ph.D., National University of Singapore, 2009
- B.Sc., Peking University, 2003
Research Interests: Dr. Zhang specializes in chiral separation methodologies, with a focus on silica-based chiral stationary phases. His work bridges organic synthesis and analytical chemistry, emphasizing practical applications in pharmaceutical and material sciences. Recent contributions include the Staudinger reaction-based immobilization of chiral compounds onto silica gel.
Teaching: Courses taught include CM3291 Advanced Experiments in Organic & Inorganic Chemistry, CM4269 Sustainable and Green Chemistry, and CM5221 Advanced Organic Synthesis.
Labs/Teams: Based in the Department of Chemistry (Block S8 Level 3, NUS), his work contributes to the broader chemical research community at NUS.
