Yōichirō Suzuki is a Japanese experimental particle physicist and Professor at the University of Tokyo, serving as Director of the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research (ICRR) and Kamioka Observatory. Previously Deputy Director of the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (IPMU) until March 2018, he has held academic positions at the University of Tokyo since 1989 when appointed Associate Professor, promoted to Professor in 1996.
