Yvonne Hellmann

Yvonne Hellmann is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Bielefeld, since 2011. She currently serves as a judge at the Federal Administrative Court since October 2021, assigned to the 6th Senate of Appeals, which oversees school/university law, examination law, press/broadcasting/telecom law, postal law, assembly law, police/regulatory law, constitutional protection authorities, intelligence services law, and state-church law.

Her academic background includes studying at the University of Bielefeld and the University of Nottingham (funded by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation), with a research stay at the University of Oxford (funded by DAAD) and collaboration on the SRU report. She completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Hamm (2005–2007).
