Yvonne Captain is an Associate Professor at the Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University. Her research focuses on the African Diaspora, South-South relations between Latin America and Africa, and the internationalization of higher education. She previously served as Executive Director of the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholars (175+ member institutions) and currently acts as its Regent. She also served on the UN Association of the Capital Area’s Advisory Board and the GW Faculty Senate.
