معرفی
Yvonne Buckley is an Honorary Professor in the School of the Environment at the University of Queensland (UQ). Her research focuses on invasion ecology, plant demography, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem services. She leads interdisciplinary projects addressing global environmental challenges, including the impacts of climate change and human activity on ecosystems.
Her work spans theoretical and applied ecology, with a strong emphasis on integrating demographic models and large-scale collaborative networks such as the Nutrient Network (NutNet). She has contributed to understanding plant-invasive species dynamics, ecological responses to fertilization, and the role of functional traits in shaping community assembly.
Buckley frequently publishes in high-impact journals like Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Nature Ecology & Evolution, emphasizing the ecological and conservation implications of her findings. Her research bridges local and global scales, often involving international collaborations to address pressing ecological questions.
