معرفی
Yves Marechal is a University Professor at Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP), holding this position since 2002. He currently serves as the Director of the National School of Energy, Water and Environment (ENSE3) and as Vice President of the Tenerrdis competitiveness cluster. He is a member of the MAGE research team at G2Elab laboratory.
Education
- Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering
- PhD in Digital Simulation of Electromagnetic Phenomena (1991)
Research Interests
Professor Marechal's research focuses on advanced computational methods for electromagnetic systems. His work includes:
- Electromagnetic field simulation and numerical formulations
- Solving coupled multi-physics problems with motion
- Adaptive meshing techniques for complex geometries
- Simulation of electrotechnical devices and energy systems
- Software architecture for scientific computing
Publications and Collaborations
With over 60 journal publications and 110 conference papers since 1992, Professor Marechal has made substantial contributions to computational electromagnetics. He is the co-author of the Flux software, developed in collaboration with CEDRAT, which is widely used in industry for electromagnetic and thermal simulation.
Teaching and Leadership
He teaches courses in numerical analysis, simulation, and scientific computing at ENSE3. As Director of ENSE3, he oversees academic programs in energy, water, and environmental engineering, and as Vice President of Tenerrdis, he promotes regional competitiveness in energy transition.
Research Environment
Based at G2Elab in Saint Martin d'Hères, Professor Marechal leads the MAGE team, which focuses on modeling and simulation for energy applications.
