Yves Bollen

Yves Bollen is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with the Systems Biology, AIMMS, and LaserLaB - Molecular Biophysics departments. His research focuses on molecular biophysics, bacterial membrane dynamics, and single-molecule imaging techniques. He teaches courses including Biochemistry, Biophotonics, and Structural Biology.

His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through studies on cellular processes and microbial metabolism. He has supervised 3 PhD theses and is involved in lab-based educational innovations.
