Yves Bellouard

Yves Bellouard is an Associate Professor in Microengineering at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where he leads the Galatea Laboratory and the Richemont Chair in Micromanufacturing. His research focuses on advanced manufacturing techniques, particularly femtosecond laser processing for material property tailoring and microsystem development.

He holds a PhD in Microengineering from EPFL (2000) and previously worked as a Research Scientist at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Associate Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology. His work includes the Femtoprint project (2010-2013) and significant grants from the European Research Council (ERC Starting Grant 2013, ERC Proof-of-Concept 2018).
