Yuyan Jiang is a Research Associate at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, with additional affiliation to the Global Talent Lab at the University of Bristol. She holds a PhD in Economics from University College London, an MSc in Quantitative Research Methods from UCL, and an MA in Economics and Finance from the University of Aberdeen.
Jiang's research examines educational inequalities, social mobility dynamics, and policy interventions aimed at reducing socioeconomic disparities in education and labor markets. Her expertise includes advanced analysis of large longitudinal datasets, and she is an ONS Accredited Researcher.
Her recent publications investigate intergenerational mobility patterns among immigrants across multiple countries, the educational impacts of conditional cash transfers, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on social mobility. These studies employ quantitative methodologies to analyze socioeconomic trajectories and policy effectiveness.

Jiang currently evaluates the 'Take Your Place' outreach programme and researches intergenerational income persistence and STEM talent identification through Olympiads. She teaches quantitative research methods to undergraduate students in the Designing Educational Research course.
