Yuxin Liu is a Teaching Professor in Opera at the University of Texas at Austin's Butler School of Music, currently pursuing a Doctorate in Opera Performance. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the China Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music from the New England Conservatory. Her professional engagements include roles with Butler Opera Center (Violetta in La Traviata, Lan in Tea: A Mirror of Soul) and Austin Opera (ensemble in Carmen). She specializes in diverse vocal styles with particular focus on art song interpretation and contemporary opera roles.
