Yuriy Markushin is an Associate Professor at Delaware State University, affiliated with the Division of Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Sciences, and the Optical Science Center for Applied Research (OSCAR). His work focuses on advanced spectroscopic techniques, nanotechnology, and biomedical applications. He has pioneered innovations in laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) for biomarker detection and material analysis.
