Yunxin Li is an Assistant Professor and Interim Graduate Program Director in the Department of History at Simmons University. She holds a PhD from Stanford University and BA/MA degrees from Peking University. Her research focuses on early China's family-state relations, textual production, and digital humanities. She is currently working on a book manuscript, Eternal Scandal: The Inner Court and Politics in the Han Empire, challenging traditional historiography through interdisciplinary methods.
Li teaches courses on Chinese, Asian, and global history, emphasizing digital humanities and archaeological approaches. She collaborates on a digital project cataloging early Chinese empires' social networks and biographical data. Her work bridges material culture, gender studies, and legal history.
