Yunah Kae

Yunah Kae is an Assistant Professor at the College of Charleston specializing in 16th- and 17th-century English literature and drama. Her teaching includes courses on early modern literature, Shakespeare, and critical theories of comedy, gender, and racial/colonial dynamics.

• Research Focus: Early modern drama, literary form, and intersectional analysis of race/gender
• Current Project: Monograph Distinguishing Race: Performing Knowledge in Early Modern Comedy
• Research Support: Huntington Library, Shakespeare Folger Library

Her work appears in Shakespeare Studies, Exemplaria, and ELR. She will serve as a Long-term Fellow at the Folger Institute during AY 2025-26.
