Professor Yuki Yamada leads the Yamada Group at Osaka University's SANKEN Institute, Department of Energy and Environmental Materials. His research focuses on electrochemical materials for energy storage, conversion, and utilization.
- PhD in Engineering (2010) from Kyoto University
Research interests include:
- Novel electrolyte materials for high-energy-density batteries
- Single Atom Catalysts (SACs) for fuel cells
- CO2-to-fuel conversion via electrochemical methods
- Ammonia electrosynthesis with interface engineering
Recent publications emphasize battery interfacial analysis, electrocatalyst optimization, and molecular-level reaction understanding. Key awards include multiple presentation honors at ECSJ meetings, the Engineering Prize, and the Kusumoto Prize for top graduates. The lab actively recruits students from across universities and hosts international collaborations, including Dr. David Patrun from the University of Cologne.
