Dr. Yuka Kadoi is a researcher at the Institute of Art History, University of Vienna's Faculty of History and Cultural Studies, where she leads major research projects funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). Her current project 'Persica Centropa: Cosmopolitan Artefacts and Artifices in the Age of Crises, 1900-1950' (2023-2027) builds on her previous FWF project 'Persian Art in Vienna, 1900-1945' (2019-2022). She specializes in the art historiography of Persian and Islamic visual culture with particular expertise in cross-cultural exchanges during the Mongol period.
Her research encompasses:

- Modern reception of Persian art in Central Europe
- Curatorial practices and museum display of Islamic art
- Historiographical analysis of Persian art scholarship
