معرفی
Yue Zhang is an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University, affiliated with Dr. James Bliska's laboratory. Her research focuses on understanding immune mechanisms during Yersinia infections, particularly the role of CD8+ T cells, cytokine regulation, and type III secretion systems. She earned her Ph.D. in 1999 from Stony Brook University.
Dr. Zhang's work explores host-pathogen interactions, including how Yersinia manipulates host immune responses to evade detection and establish infection. Her studies highlight the importance of CCR2+ dendritic cells, T cell epitopes, and virulence factors like YopJ and YopM in pathogenesis. She has also contributed to understanding the molecular mechanisms of macrophage apoptosis and cytokine dynamics during infection.
Her publications span topics such as inflammasome activation, mathematical modeling of cytokine-pathogen relationships, and the role of Toll-like receptors in Yersinia-induced apoptosis. She has collaborated extensively with Dr. Bliska and other researchers to advance knowledge in microbiology and immunology.
Dr. Zhang's lab is part of the broader research community at Stony Brook University, contributing to both fundamental and applied aspects of infectious disease research.
