Dr. Yue Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Carleton University. She is also a faculty member of the Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute and an affiliate member of the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics.

Her research focuses on the intersection of theoretical particle physics and cosmology, addressing unresolved Standard Model questions such as the nature of dark matter, origin of cosmic baryon asymmetry, and neutrino mass mechanisms. She combines model building and phenomenological analysis to explore these topics.
Recent publications analyze dark matter dilution mechanisms, neutrino self-interactions, and cosmological constraints from large-scale structure data, alongside studies of axions, CP violation, and collider signatures for dark sector physics.
Dr. Zhang teaches advanced courses including Relativistic Quantum Mechanics, Particle Physics Phenomenology, and Cosmology. She actively supervises PhD and Master’s students and collaborates with institutions like Fermilab, Caltech, and Northwestern University.
